Market Update!

Well we had our first time at Sun N' Fun RV Resort last week selling our delicious, fresh, certified organic produce and the few residents that were in attendance seemed to be pleased.  It was our goal to get in their early ahead of the mass influx of seasonal residents so that the early birds could get first crack at sampling our quality produce and then be able to spread the word to their friends and neighbors as they arrive later next month.  Natalie gave a very informative talk about the difference between naturally grown and organically grown so that the residents would have a better understanding of what exactly they are purchasing.  We seemed to be received well and are anxiously looking forward to going back this week.  We are at Sun N' Fun every Wednesday morning from 10-12 and we are also at the Old Miakka Farmers Market at the Crowley Museum every Saturday from 9-2.  We not only have available the produce, but also a sampling of our plants and our all nautral fertilizer that we make right here in our nursery.  Hope to see you at one of these events.  Happy Shopping!

The Market Table!

This week we are bringing back some of the market favorites on our produce table.  We will have mushrooms, garlic, avocado, and tomatoes.  New offerings this week will include a salad spring mix, beets w/top, and sweet mini peppers.  Some of these items will be pre-packaged in small quantities for your shopping convenience.  Don't forget to come out to the Old Miakka Farmers Market, Saturday morning from 9-2!  You never know who you will see there and there are always visiting livestock that the children will enjoy.  Hope to see you Saturday!

Upcoming events at the Nursery!

We will soon be taking our fresh, organic produce on the road.  We will be going into Sun N' Fun Resort to sell our produce to all the "snowbirds" returning to Sarasota.  We will be out there every Wednesday morning from 10:00-12:00 with fresh, organic produce.  Stay tuned for an exact start date!

Produce for the market!

Sorry I missed the opportunity to post last week and let all know what we would have at the market; however, time just seemed to get away from me and before I knew it, it was Saturday morning and there we were at the market.  We had some really delicious red & green peppers, which we will have again this week.  We also brought back the portabello mushrooms, they are huge and a big success with all the market patrons.  We will have beautiful carrots, great for juicing and cooking and two different kinds of tomatoes.  Hope to see you at the Market Saturday from 9-2, lots of new vendors and things happening out there.  Stop by and see us!!

This week at Quality Trees

It has been an unusual week at the nursery, we had the holiday on Monday and then the weather has not exactly been cooperating.  The rain has put part of the nursery under water and made work a tad bit difficult.  We are getting ready to pick our produce for the week so if anyone has any special requests, this would be the place to post them or visit our facebook page.  Hopefully the weather will cooperate for the Old Miakka Farmers Market this Saturday from 9-2.  Hope to see you there!

This Weeks Selections!

In addition to the lettuce, pluots, nectarines, onions, garlic, tomatoes, squash, and broccoli/cauliflower mix we have some new additions this week.  We will have bananas, portabella mushrooms, avocado, and black mission figs.  Our potatoes will be a choice of either red or white and the tomatoes will be loose or on the vine.  We will also be displaying suggested preparation ideas for a different item each week.  This week we will be featuring Roasted Garlic and Baked Black Mission Fig cooking suggestions.  Stop out to the Old Miakka Farmers Market on Saturday from 9-2 and pick up some nice, fresh, organic produce for your eating pleasure!
Hope to see you Saturday.
